Horizon GEN Black DLC
The beauty of darkness from a Japanese perspective
This is a limited series of 25 pieces: Horizon GEN DLC. In Japanese, GEN is spelled with the kanji character "玄", which offers several meanings such as depth, darkness, mystery or the color black. These terms perfectly describe the new limited series, a Horizon clad in deep brushed and glossy black DLC (Diamond like Carbon).
DLC Coating (Diamond like Carbon)
The case, crown, indexes and buckle are DLC-coated. This treatment enhances the hardness of 316L steel by depositing fine layers of carbon on its various components. In addition to its attractive and mysterious appearance, this coating is distinguished by its durability and high resistance to corrosion and wear. The DLC treatment is offering greater resistance to scratches. The Horizon GEN DLC watch has a hardness of HV2300, much harder than steel. Combined with the "Sallaz" surface treatment, the polished areas shine in dark tones, bringing undeniable class to the timepiece.
Sarazu hand-polishing
Minase watches' steel parts are hand-polished with the Sallaz polishing technique (also known as sarazu). A technique of polishing the steel by hand, piece after piece requiring an impressive level of skills and dexterity. Furthermore, steel bracelets are uniquely constructed; No exterior screws or pins are visible when the watch is worn thanks to the use of tiny screws on the underside of each bracelet link.High-end Swiss Movement
Based on ETA 2892 ébauches, this high-end execution displays hand-finished surfaces with perlage, blue screws, bridges with diamond polished bevels and a main plate and bridges in black or. The brand's drill head logo is displayed on the rotor.
