What is a matsuri?
In Japan, matsuri are major popular festivals that punctuate the life of neighborhoods, towns and villages. These festivals take place throughout the year and are always a mix of religious and popular celebrations. There are street food stalls, sake, traditional outfits and most importantly, good cheer! Japanese taiko drums and folk dances are common sight. Everyone comes together to celebrate and party.

Minase will also give a conference about Japanese métiers d’art and the traditional crafts mastered on its timepieces.
